DigiTec Expo 2017 hosted about 150 companies and 70k visitors

The largest regional DigiTec Expo 2017 has been highlighted by solid participation of international companies. DigiTec has united not only Armenian technological and innovation companies, but also a number of foreign companies and individuals.

The most awaited 3-day DigiTec 2017 technological exhibition held in Armenia has united over 150 participating companies and 70,000 visitors. The latest developments in the field of technology and achievements of the sector have been presented, as well as seminars, conferences, and other discussions have been held.

International delegations from Japan (Armenian-Japanese Forum has been held with the support of Armenia Development Fund), China, India, USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Latvia have arrived in Armenia to participate at DigiTec 2017 (the overall list of the countries can be find here). Such local companies as Joomag, Ucom, Arpinet, VOLO, Zangi, VMware, Monitis, ArmSoft, Instigate, Arloopa, Sevan Startup Summit, Enterprise Incubator Foundation and many others have been introduced during the DigiTec.

The President of RA Serzh Sargsyan, the Minister of Transportation, Communication and IT Vahan Martirosyan, the Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan, as well as Alexander Yesayan, the President of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) - the organizer of Digitec, Karen Vardanyan, the Executive Director of UITE, Hayk Yesayan, the General Director of Ucom and the DigiTec Platinum Sponsor, a number of state and international institutions and diplomatic missions have participated at the official opening of the event and then got acquainted with the innovative solutions of the companies.

The Prime Minister of RA Karen Karapetyan, the Minister of Economy Suren Karayan, the Minister of Agriculture Ignaty Arakelyan, the Minister of Emergency Situations Davit Tonoyan, the Deputy Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the State Defense Industry Committee David Pakhchanyan have also visited the 13th annual DigiTec.

The IT sector representatives held a closed meeting with the Deputy Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the State Military Industry Committee Davit Pakhchanyan, and the sides expressed mutual interest in the long-term cooperation in IT and military-related spheres.

The representatives of the Diplomatic missions including the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia H.E. Mathias Kisler, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Edson Marigno Duarte Montreux, the Ambassador of Belarus Mr. Igor Nazaruk and others have visited DigiTec.

In addition, DigiTec is a B2B, B2C technological exhibition which has been implemented by UITE since 2005 under the high patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Since then, PR campaigns are implemented by P-Art company.
